This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out activities that are prohibited on FitTrainr. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, and we may report illegal activity to law enforcement.
1. Lawful Use
You must use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and the rights of others. The Service is offered from the United States; if your local law prohibits something we offer, you are responsible for complying with your local law.
2. Prohibited Content and Behaviour
You may not use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse any person, including your coach, your client, other coaches, other clients, or FitTrainr staff. This includes hate speech targeting protected characteristics.
- Provide medical advice, diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, or hold yourself out as a medical practitioner unless you are independently licensed and operating within your jurisdiction's scope of practice.
- Promote disordered eating, extreme weight-loss regimes, unsafe rapid weight cuts, or content that targets vulnerable users with content likely to cause harm.
- Sell, recommend, or distribute illegal substances, performance-enhancing drugs, prescription medications, or any unregulated supplements where prohibited.
- Send spam — unsolicited bulk messaging, mass-marketing through coach-client messaging, or scraping contact information from the platform.
- Upload malicious code — viruses, worms, trojans, or any other code intended to harm a system or to gain unauthorised access.
- Violate intellectual property — uploading copyrighted programs, photos, videos, or trademarks without authorisation. See our DMCA Policy for the takedown procedure.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Interfere with the Service — including denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping, brute-forcing credentials, probing for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure, or attempting to bypass rate limits or access controls.
- Resell or sublicense the Service to third parties without our written agreement.
- Collect personal data from other users beyond what is necessary for the coaching relationship you have with them.
- Upload sexually explicit material, content depicting minors in sexualised contexts (which we will report to law enforcement), or any content the Service is plainly not designed to host.
3. Coaches: Additional Conduct Rules
If you are a coach, you must additionally:
- Hold any certifications, licences, or insurance required by your jurisdiction for the services you provide.
- Maintain professional boundaries with your clients.
- Disclose material conflicts of interest (such as supplement affiliate arrangements) to your clients in advance.
- Refrain from any activity that would put your clients' health, safety, or finances at risk.
4. Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, report it to support@fittrainr.com. Include the username or coach handle involved, what they did, when, and any relevant screenshots.
5. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion: warn the user, remove offending content, restrict account features, suspend the account, terminate the account, or refer the matter to law enforcement. We aim to be proportionate, but illegal activity and threats to user safety result in immediate termination.
